21st B-Day Invitations

My lil Sis is turning 21! She wants to do it big and give out invitations, so she actually let me take her picture for the card. If you can't tell she is a Big Weezy fan. And fo sho she always got cake like everyday her b-day! Haha, this should be fun!

Natalie & Ryan

So word got out that I can make dogs look at the camera. It's hard work, but with a treat dangling in my hand it works just fine, but there dog, Lexi worked it like a pro! My friend Natalie, her boyfriend Ryan, and Lexi had a good ole time. Thanks for the opportunity guys! To take a looksy click here!

Maroline's Boys

I was lucky to get the chance to shoot my good friend from high school and her Family. She has the cutest boys I have ever seen. We just stayed around her house for the shoot, cause she lives on a farm with a lot of land, which makes great pictures. This was my first time shooting a Family with a dog! I took over 100 images and only a couple turned out good, with the dog, Mya. I learned you have to keep your finger on the shutter, cause if you don't you will miss a great Family Portrait! To see more of this cute freakin Family click here!

Beth Angerman's Family

Yeah, I know it's kinda late, but the day after Thanksgiving I got the opportunity to shoot Beth again along with her Family this time. It was very cold, but they're from Minnesota, so it probably felt like spring to them. The are a great Family with a lot of personality and I had a great time, an also gained some experience dealing with a large Family. Check it out now!

In a couple of weeks I will be leaving my home of 21 years and moving to Duluth. I can't wait for this change. No more small town living! I will also be attending GSU for summer semester. I'm going for a Bachelor's in Art Studio where I will be taking a lot of art classes, sculpting, and of course more photography classes. I am so excited! So a lot of changes coming my way. Now to just find a decent job.

I'm Thankful

Waiting....

Waiting for great opportunities, waiting on the holidays, waiting on a different pace, waiting to not have to depend on anyone, waiting for a change, but tired of waiting. But I will keep on waiting, because waiting is time and that's all I have.

Beth's Engagement/Save The Date Pics

Hey peeps! I know its been awhile since I've posted anything, but I haven't been doing anything really exciting lately. I've just been working for this company archiving documents, while getting to shoot every now an then. I also recently applied to GSU and waiting to hear back. I hope for good news!

This past Sunday I went to downtown Buford (which is a great little place to shoot!) and took engagement pictures of Beth and her Fiance, and later on I found out that he was the goalie for the Gladiator's hockey team! They are a very cool laid back couple which I love, because it makes my job easy. To check more out on this sweet couple and other pics I've been taking lately CLICK HERE!!!

Post Portfolio Show.... What Next?

So if you didn't know this past Saturday at Art Station was my classmates and my portfolio show. It was a great night and a big turn out and everyone loved the big prints, and I just so happened to sell two of my prints that really made my night. Two years of long nights, the making of some great friendships, an a lot of hardships all lead up to this day and I'm glad I hung on for the long ride, cause there were days that I just wanted to throw in the towel. I will miss everyone's face and personality that really made the photography program a great one! Now what next? I'm currently freelancing with Creative Loafing and taking portraits here and there, it's something for now... I guess. But I also have big dreams, so I plan on continuing my education at Georgia State (hopefully everything works out). So to end this the two years I will never forget, but I"M DONE!!!!! Whoot Whoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

German Bierfest

Yesterday I shot the German Bierfest. It was my first freelance assignment with Creative Loafing. So SIKED! The "world's greatest beer" was available at the 6th Annual German Bierfest at Woodruff Park. Atlantans flocked to the late-summer event with friends, family, and colleagues to enjoy a great glass or two (or five )of German culture. Over 30 different German beers were poured. And no I'm not an alcoholic, it's just when you live in a small town and everybody knows your names sometimes there aint nothin to do but drink! To check more out click here!

Grimm

The past weekend I shot the Grimm Reaper in a nearby awesome cornfield. And it might be going into my Section E (specialty). I gotta lot of cool ideas that I can't wait to set up and shoot for this section. I was going for a southern life photojournalistic style kind of a thing, but it has develop more into an illustration of this life style, so my specialty is going to be Illustrative Photography. Can't wait to be done with all this and see my images printed and hung!

Sis Gotta Tat

My sister recently got a tattoo and I had to take a picture of it, because I thought it was beautiful and meaningful to me, to us. But on another note I also took this picture to take to the tattoo artist and see if He likes the image and perhaps help him get some business with my picture and He can pay me in return, well we'll see how it goes. I just thought it would be a cool idea to get a little side money! Anyway to check more out click here!

Redneck Shoot

This past weekend I decided instead of looking for somewhere cool to shoot I would just hit up my backyard and shoot my now empty pool. I asked myself who would I find in a pool like this and it hit me, probably a redneck! So I shot it. I'm going to use it for the next assignment in Portfolio Development (section A). And I'm still working hard to fine my specialized study. This quarter is definitely keeping me own my toes. To see more click here!

Bittersweet Summer

So far this summer has been bittersweet. I have a pool, but can't jump in it. It is summer, but I'm in school. It's my last quarter of school, but it's my last quarter of school with all these great people. I recently got engaged, but my Mom's not here to enjoy it. I have learned that this is life, but with the sad or pain comes the happy. I'm looking forward to my bittersweet summer and what it has to bring, cause at the end of summer I'm going to be proud of what I and my peers have accomplished!

Oh and this is my brain this summer!

Hot! On JPG MAG

I've been a member of jpgmag.com for a couple of months now and just found out that one of my photos that I submitted for the Creep theme is HOT! which means that it has a possibility of being picked for the next issue. So if you think that this image makes you want to go hide behind a tree go vote for it! I think you have to be a member to vote, but it's a free site like Flickr where tons of people can view your work and tell you what they think, except you have a chance at getting published. You also get to see some amazing work from other photographers. If this is scary you should click here!

Bonnaroo 09

Each summer, there's always music festivals that seem to try to outdo each other with line-ups, logos, and locations but few are as big and crazy as Bonnaroo. Held in Manchester, Tenn. every year since 2002 on a 700-acre farm called the Great Stage Park, this year's 4-day festival featured Nine Inch Nails, TV On the Radio, Bruce Springsteen, Phish and dozens of others. And I made a little dipstick for ya to show you the dirty and fun, put it together and you got the one and only Roo!

Yo Quiero

Yo quiero architecture to be over! I love architecture, but shooting it has just been hard especially with daylight film not being available. I'm trying to finish up with assignments and hope for the best. Also trying to find a awesome house to shoot for final four, but up to this point I just need to find a house. But as always I know I will make it threw, it's just when....

Coming Home

Yesterday I was in the car driving back from Mississippi after visiting with the family, and the whole ride there and back was gloomy and rainy until the rain stopped for a second and made this beautiful rainbow, so I'm glad it rained. Excuse the pixels, I was using my cell phone. My camera was in the trunk.

Today In Madison

Today I went to Madison, GA with my fellow classmates and shot some architecture for high/low end assignment. The morning was pretty gloomy, but in the end it turned out to be a beautiful day. On the way back from Madison off highway 83 I found an abandoned plantation home. My dream. The picture above is one of many I took. I'm going to have to go back, perhaps with a model or something next time. The whole ride down 83 was amazing. I suggest anyone looking for old abandoned buildings highway 83 is the ticket. I remember when you dressed me like a nurse for Halloween. I remember those great big bear hugs. I remember when we'd go for walks with Blackie down the dirt road and talked about all the wonderful things that were going to happen, I remember when they didn't happen you would be there to cheer me up. I remember every gift, not realizing you were my gift. I remember I Love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore nights, the Nick at Night nights, those were the best. I remember every lesson, cause you made me learn it myself and boy how I did. I remember every dream I had you made it happen even when it was hard to. I have so many memories to fill a lifetime and I'm only 24. You had a world of heart and I will always remember that forever. Even though you're gone now I know you're still here, in my heart. I feel you now and forever. I love you Momma always and forever!

Tea Party 2009

On April 15th I went to the Capitol for the Tea Party. It was my first Tea Party, and not my last. It was a crazy turn out. I've never seen so many different people come together for the same reason. I walked about 2 miles to get to this event and nearly got squished, but it was worth it. To view more on the party click here.

Country Drive

This past weekend I went on a country drive, yet again. I love going on country scenic drives, cause most of the time I find something that is work shooting. While on the drive I was also on the look out for some cool architecture for class and I think I found some. I found some buildings with a lot of character, some old country homes, and some old colonial homes. I hope I get the chance to shoot them. I also found an architectural photographer that I like, Helene Binet. Her work is contemporary, but that's what I like about it, something different from the norm.
