Got R' Done

This Sunday I went to the Atlanta Motor Speedway to see me some Nascar. And no I'm not a fan. I never watch it, but I was lucky to go and when I got there I was in for a "good ole' boy" culture shock. It's pretty much a Woodstock for rednecks from what I gathered. The smell of burned rubber, the beer cans decorating the ground, and the loud humming of the cars going around, an around, an around got me in the mood to get r' done!

Fall Farted on Me Today

So I was surrounded with fall festivities today. You know the cake walkin, the hay bale ridin, bobbin for apples kinda deal. I'm not usually the person that does these things, but I did an it was fun. I got to eat a country broil, pet some furry critters, and listen to some Free Bird. All in all it was a good day!

Night More Vivid Than Day

Night More Vivid Than Day
"I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day." ~Vincent Van Gogh

This is one of my night pictures I took third quarter. I used translucent party bags to put over my flash to pop the color on the abandoned house and grass. You can also find this image and more on my new Flickr Account!

Low Key

This is the low key assignment untouched. I had a great time with this shoot, because one I was shooting a friend, so there were a lot of laughs, an I got to use a pocket wizard for the first time. They're awesome! I used two lights for this shoot, one for the main light, which I ended up putting a soft box on, and the fill light for the background.

Thank you Lottie for being my model, and my assistant Evelyn!

50 Cents

" Net at Little Five Points, Wednesday, October 8, 2008. She was walking around with a smile on her face and the rain did not seem to bother her. "

I was walking around Little Five Points looking for a cool rain feature, an it just so happens the rain feature found me. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around, and there was Net. She asked me for some change, and I scrounged around my purse and found 50 cents. I then asked to take her picture and she was all for it. I love photos like that, the ones where you don't expect it, they just happen!

This is a one of many pictures that Lottie took of me for her high key.

Today we had to shoot high or low key for an assignment in advanced portraiture. Let me just say it was a great photo shoot! My low key pictures coming soon.

House Sitting

Yeah, I wish I had my own place, but this is even better! I'm sitting a three story house for the weekend. It's pretty amazing, an it happens to be the only house on the street due to the developer going bankrupt and now the bank owns all the empty lots except the one I'm sitting of course. I also had a little fun last night with my camera, if you would like to see more Click Here!
